French 75
Created during the First World War, the French 75 combines gin, lemon, sugar syrup and Champagne. Named after the famous French 75mm field gun, it was said to have a kick as powerful as the artillery piece itself.
Ingrédients
- 1 ounce gin
- ½ ounce lemom juice
- ½ ounce simple syrup
- 3 ounces Champagne
- Lemon twist to garnish
Préparation
Shake together with ice the gin, lemon juice and syrup until well chilled.
Strain into a champagne flute and garnish with a delicate lemon twist.
