As a brand that has prioritised natural fibres for more than two decades, we’re very selective about the fabric of our garments, especially our knits. That’s why Blue Illusion predominantly uses Australian Merino wool—widely considered the best wool in the world. So, what makes this fibre so special?

There are so many things! But let’s start with how it feels. Australia’s climate and established grazing practices are ideal for raising Merino sheep, producing happier animals and higher-quality wool. Merino wool’s extremely fine fibre diameter also offers a uniquely soft and luxurious texture.
Not only is it gentle, but it’s also naturally insulating and odour-resistant. Isn’t that amazing? Merino wool fibers contain tiny coils that trap air pockets.
